Jenny Ahn is an operatically-trained singer and voice teacher. She has been performing in various venues for more than 20 years. Jenny has received extensive training in “Bel canto” (traditional Italian vocal technique) under a number of highly-established and respected opera/vocal coaches, including Kristof Van Grysperre (Pasadena, CA), Suzan Hanson (Los Angeles, CA), Juliana Gondek (Los Angeles, CA), Mary Curtis-Verna (Seattle, WA) and Orietta Moscucci (Rome, Italy).
Although her main training background is purely classical – including selections in Italian, German, French, Latin, Korean and English – her repertoire also includes selected crossover music and musical theatre songs.
Besides a dedicated performer, Jenny is committed to helping fellow artists/colleagues, especially in the opera community. She believes we all need each other to support each other in making beautiful music and the gift of opera alive. With that vision, she serves as administrative assistant to Angels Vocal Art and also serves as one of the soloists/choir members at the Trinity Presbyterian Church choir in Pasadena.
She is also passionate to train young talents to their full potential in their vocal gift and the joy of music. Jenny has nearly 10 years of vocal teaching experience at private music schools, including Lycée International de Los Angeles (LILA) French-American Private School, Ivycrest Montessori Private School, and Blessed School of Worship.
Her wide range of teaching experience includes individuals to class size, and students as young as 3 years old to adult.
Jenny is a very kind and patient person – a very desirable quality for a teacher. Jenny is also a woman of impeccable and uncompromising integrity, purity of heart, and full of light and life – some of which, I trust, has even been conveyed in the sample videos.
Thank you for watching and listening to Jenny Ahn.
